What is the proper distance to walk a puppy?

I have a 10 week old Golden Retriever puppy who has been pretty stubborn on her walks lately, stopping in the middle of the walk and not wanting to walk any further. I'm wondering if I'm walking too far. Right now we walk about a half mile three times a day.
Answers:
Walk at an even pace for about 10-15 minutes. He'll be exhausted after that long walk.
AWWW i love those. i think insted of walking her, take her to the park and let her just run around there and show her off! cute cute cute!! =)
1/4 mile max per day and only when the temp is below 70 deg
take a break after each half-an-hour, feed him biscuits in the break, then start walkin' again!
hi same here..mine 50 day old labrador doesnt want to walk at all..he keeps playing with his leash..sits there with all his strength and doesnt walk but have to be lifted back home. I guess it takes time. try walking him just once a day for a few days and thn slowing switch over to 2 times..maybe he gets tired easily. I will wait for the answers to your question too!
it might be because the dog is not used to the lead yet,,,, my dog did this as a pup, but she got used to it in the end, 20 minutes a day is OK 4 a puppy
I would think when you see her getting exhausted or trying to tell you. It sounds like she is trying to tell you already!!
Puppies do not have the stamina of an adult dog.
1/4 of a mile
