What is the best shampoo to bathe my Samoyed with? He is itching.?

Answers:
Don't bathe a dog more than once a month, especially a samoyed with a coat like a majority of them have. Look for an oatmeal or coal tar based shampoo. There are even hypo-allergenic shampoos, most of which will probably be one of those two formulas. Or a milk bath. Not actual milk, but some companies will make a milk based shampoo that smell amazing and work great too. You may also want to supplement with an omega 3 %26 6 fatty acid. There are plenty of products at the local pet store that will do this, they are typically gel caps and liquid that you had to food. Give him some time, the solution won't happen over night. Good luck.
look in some books and you will find out
if you go to the chemist i am sure he wiil teel to you
sorry but i don't know
Samoyed is slang for something naughty isnt it? hehehe
Maybe he is itching because of too many baths, or because all the soap wasn't rinsed out from the last bath. Soap left in the fur and on the skin can be very irritating.
They do make an Oatmeal shampoo for dogs.
an oatmeal based shampoo may help
I'm not sure of the brands but go to a local pet store, petco or petsmart .Look for a natural shampoo with oatmeal and grape seed oil. It's great for extra dry skin and helps a great deal. Also use a frontline for ticks and flea's after just in case.
try a shampoo based on oatmeal, or one that is designed specifically for allergy sufferers. Also, baby shampoo is a very gentle option.
I have always used a dog shampoo with Tea Tree Oil in it. It has alot of soothing properties in it and if your dog has allergies and his skin is irritated, this type of shampoo will really help. Our dog had skin allergies and I tried dozens of different type of shampoos, including ones from the vet, and I found that tea tree oil works the best. Sorry that you ask a legitimate question, and idiots respond. Hope you find the right shampoo for your doggie.
