Probably a mastiff. Like a Neapolitan Mastiff, like Fang in Harry Potter (the movies--I don't think he's that breed in the books.) Those things are ginormous.
But even Newfies are huge...they're like bears. Enormous. Newfoundland...Retrievers? Are they Retrievers?
But you also have to remember that hounds aren't that massive, not like some dogs. Irish Wolfhounds are pretty lean, not much bulk. They're tall...but not that heavy.
So it also depends on what you mean by "largest." Largest in terms of height, weight, what?

Irish Wolfhound is the tallest, but I think a Great Dane just past the normal size of a Wolfhound, but that's rare. As far as weight goes that would be the Mastiff Breeds a friend of mine has a Brazilian Mastiff that's already way over 200 pounds and she's still a puppy..and still growing!
