What is the best way to keep my Westie white?

My West highland terrier is always getting dirty. Obviously it is more noticeable as the breed is white. But I was wondering what can I use that will help keep him whiter for longer?
Answers:
Hopefully you know that shampoo alone is not the answer. If you over-bath your dog, you're going to strip all the oils out of his skin and coat and then you'll have a whole other problem.

To keep him white between baths, you can use dry shampoo or chalk. The chalk you use is grooming chalk made for dogs, its in powder form, you brush it into the dog, then brush it out really well.
There are shampoos you can buy (I always got mine on-line from vet supply places like vetline or statelinetack) that are "brighteners" and will keep it shiny white!
There are shampoos that you can use. Professional groomers use them, they look purple-ish or blue-ish.
Here's some you can get online:

Don't let him listen to rap music and keep him away from cheap looking silver chains and pendants
Get a shampoo made for white coats. Make sure the shampoo is either blue or clear in color. (Do not use other colors of shampoo, especially purple or green, as they can can tint your dog the color of the shampoo!)

Here's what I use on my papillon to keep her bright and white:

Gloss paint, dont forget the undercoat
