What is the best dog food to help minimize shedding?

I have a 2 year old boxer / chow mix who sheds excessively and I would like to know the best food to feed hime to attempt to minimize the shedding.
Answers:
Nutro Natural Choice has several different formulas that are 100% guaranteed to reduce shedding and give a shiner healthier coat. Also, any of the holistic foods will reduce shedding. Wellness, Solid Gold, etc.
I would start with a good quality food, like Science Diet or Iams. It ensures your dog gets good nutrients for a good coat and healthy skin.
Frequent brushing helps, but don't bathe too much, it will dry out their skin.
Last but not least, if all else fails you could try a supplement, called fatty acids. You can get it at any Vet office.
Hope I could help.
Most dogs shed. That's just a fact of life. It would help to know what kind of dog you have. But, for general purposes, you will need a food that has adequate Omega fatty acids. Just read the side panel on the bag as you would for choosing a premium quality food. Premium foods generally are higher in Omega fatty acids. Grocery brands such as Puppy Chow or Beneful (just to name two) are not. They are mostly corn and have no nutritional value. So, the quality of food is most important.

Second, add a supplement of fatty acids to your dog's diet. We actually add a teaspoon of Olive Oil to our dogs' food to increase the oil content and help their skin and coat.

Third, get a good shedding tool. There are many out there. Depending on what breed of dog, you could use a hoop, rake or something special like a Furminator (world's best shedding tool, bar none!). Keep your dog groomed by brushing him every day and shedding him about every 3-4 weeks. This will help a lot.

If I can help, feel free to email me.

Innova Evo and Origin are excellent foods for Boxers. As far as a Boxer/Chow mix.. with the seasonal change, a chow will shed excessively if not kept groomed regularly.
Besides the normal shedding which would be right about now because of the change of weather. Nutro is great and is good on their coat. They will shed alot during weather changes the best thing to do for that is to brush them daily. That is what I do and it has been alot better since I have done that.
