It jumped in the car tonight so I took it in until I find the owner, it can't be abandoned, the coat is clean and we had a huge storm this afternoon, it has no collar or anything...

I'm very positive it is mixed with doberman...I have a red doberman mixed and it looks some what like that dog.

Why does it have to be a kind?? It looks like a mixed breed dog.. If you are putting up posters to find it's owner, put up a picture and describe his coat to people.. The people that lost him likely know him as mixed breed and might pass by your sign if they read it listed as a certain breed.

It could be "dumped." Some horrible people take their dogs to a different neighborhood and dump them there. It looks like a cutie. Take it to the vet and they can scan for a chip, and call animal control to see if there are any missing dogs reports that match the description. If not, keep it.
It is a "carjumper." These are very special dogs because they have been totally mistreated.so bad, infact, that they want to run away from home and this is exactly what this one did. Now in the morning you will need to start looking for signs talking about wanting the dog back. Once u locate the real owner, fo over there and kick his *** fpr allowing the dog to get out and then kick him again for not putting a dog tag on the dog's neck.

I'd say a shepard mix!! Looks like a Pup, is it a puppy or full grown a little hard to tell from the picture?? If it's full grown, then I'll have to look at the picture again..

dont put the dogs picture or describe it in advertisemesnt or you will have all sorts of idiots coming to claim it because its free.
just say you found a puppy, in a specific area.
only give it to the person who can describe what it looks like.
let your local vets know too, maybe they will recognise him from giving him shots.

It looks to me like it's just a puppy, so that will make it difficult to say what breed it is, but I agree it looks like a mixed breed. Flyers are a good idea, also call all the vets in the phone book, and also the shelters/humane societies and let them know you found it, the owner may be looking for it that way.
soooo cute it does look like a dobbie mix to me but try not list that..and becareful of who comes to claim the dog. i always list found puppy where i picked the dog up.and phone # not so much anything else. just because the dog looks health does not meant he wasn't dumped. but the storm could have made the pup run off. call the shelters and vets and tell them what u found.

It appears to be a puppy %26 is probably a doberman or german sheppard mix. It looks like it's in good condition so, because of the storm, it probably got spooked %26 took off. And it apparently likes to ride. You'll probably find a flyer or maybe on the radio that the owner is looking. Whenever I get a stray turned into me, I call all the local vets %26 put up flyers at the post office or local store. If no one claims the dog, you'll have to decide if you want it or turn it into the local shelter. I hope if it's not claimed, you will choose to keep it cause it obviously picked you.

I would put up flyers all over you area, as much as possible. My husbands family has a dog that looks similar to that one, but she is much bigger than that one. Their dog is a hound mix of some sort, atleast that is what they were told when they adopted her. Good luck in finding the owner.
